THE CRY OF INSECURITY

The residents of Kuinet location in Eldoret woke up to a shock incident yesterday morning after unknown people attempted to set a blaze a newly constructed house in the area owned by a prominent business man.

The unknown suspects attempted to burn the house by spilling petroleum around the house and later using a gas cylinder which busted loudly waking up the neighbours around the homestead at 3am Sunday morning. the motive behind the incident is still unknown.

However the area residents managed to put off the fire before spreading around the house. An eye witness said he saw a car which was drove along the road leading to the homestead  and making a turn around before switching off the headlights. Furthermore according to the gardener at the homestead the unknown people wanted to burn the whole house but only to the rescue of the neighbours.

The residents blamed the local police for laxity in ensuring security around the area and also for delaying to arrive at the scene of crime for investigations until today.

Efforts to reach the owner of the homestead failed but the gardener said that he was away attending to his other businesses out of Eldoret town but had already conducted the police to establish the motive of the suspects who committed the act.
